    iPhone Photo Tips

Have to say sometimes I might get caught out and about with the DSLR and need to take photos with my iPhone. As we know they can do a reasonable job of taking pics and video.
Just upgraded software to iOS 6, which has a new panoramic ability and it works really well.
Here is a shot of the local Sprung Fair in Peakhurst I took this morning.
Turned out pretty good, can't wait to try it out in November VHC Trip!

2.8's Sound great, but a worked 3.0L goes better

Thanks for the heads up on the new pano feature with iOS 6 Adam. Wished I'd known about it before I went away yesterday. I did the upgrade on my phone the night before.

No worries Gary, some great new features. My battery life is now back up fantastic again!
Also the edit function to make the shot look better works well also.

    Hi Adam

I updated to iOS6 the other night too, and gave the panorama feature a go too while sitting in the lounge. Seems to work quite well. The GUI seems to have changed a bit, if anything I think it is a bit of a step back in appearance. The 6.1 update should be a good one I hope.
    Regards

Has it got something to do with the HDR option? I was thinking that was High Definition of some sort. Please explain?

the panorama button is underneath the HDR option

from what i can figure out when you have the HDR option on it takes 2 photos and you choose the best photo

HDR means high dynamic range and takes a selection of pics (usually 3 or so) with different exposure and then blends them together to get a really nice contrast shot.

Adam any chance of a screen capture showing the pano option, as I still can work it out. Jack I only get Grid and HDR options.
