    Newnes review sort of....

We've been doing quick weekend get aways to Newnes for about 7 years now. We find it a get easy access spot close to home for us.

We have been weekending in Newnes for years. Leaving work on Friday already packed. Shooting up and over the Blue Mountains, the Oztent is up and dinner is cooking in no time. Accessible, beautiful and cathartic. The ABC of easy camping.

The flora and fauna of the cliffs and canyons, have taken the Shale mine settlement back. Now, weekend campfires trail their signals sky high, instead of steam engines and coke ovens.

Once again a fantastic write up of one of mine and many friends favourite spots. It certainly has lots to offer for all and at anytime of year.
    Cheers

It certainly is a great spot, but there seems to be more and more reports of city bogans getting out there ??
I've yet to get there, but the next valley west of there is supposed to be just as nice !!

    Awesome post mate.

    The bush looks quite lush.

How did you go driving those harder tracks?

Yet to try them all, would need a bravery pull for some I think. Last few visits weve not even left camp. Just lazed about eating too much.

Enjoying the camping aspect is something I am appreciating more and more. Again, very well written trip report.
