    Hi to All

Jeff & Sue here. Living in Bendigo and planning our next 4WD up to Longreach/Alice Springs/MacDonnell Ranges, Ayres Rock, etc in April. Have a Nissan Patrol Turbo Diesel and we, when Sue (me) is along, tow an Ezy Trail off-road camper trailer. Jeff prefers to rough it when it it just the "men", and I am not adverse to that - just preferably not for weeks at a time!
With the kids now self-sufficient we are free to explore without the constraints of school holidays, etc., and without them saying in the back -"are we there yet"!
Last year we did a trip up the back route thru Cobar/Bourke etc. to Toowoomba, then out to Cameron's Corner and down to Gammon National Park and the Flinders Ranges. Jeff's preference is to find the dirt track wherever possible!
Looking forward to finding some useful information on this forum. Cheers.

Hi and welcome. Sounds like you already have done some amazing long distance tours.
The only thing better than fishing... is catching a fish...
