    Big Red Bash 2019

    Hi All.

I'm planning on going to the "BIG RED BASH" near Birdsville 16th to 18th July 2019.

Have volunteered to assist with the set up and as long as I complete my designated shifts the entry and camping ticket is free.

Wondering if anyone else from the Forum are going as well?

We had security contract for it last year but they have gone with new company which personally I don't' think will cut it there.
I'll be working at the Birdsville Hotel while this is on and also the races and yabby races out of town.
    Cheers

We were interested when we heard that Midnight Oil are the headline act but now seeing the recently released supporting acts we will give it a miss. Looks like a line up that you can see playing at most red hot summer tour/ day on the green.

Time - Money - Artists ??? Doesn't really matter who is playing there, I'm going for the atmosphere, friendships and location.

The rest is just to consolidate the reasons for being there in the first place.

Will drop in and have a beer or two with you.

When and where are the Yabbie Races?

I know one thing. Windorah when the yabby races are on, there is no accomadation. Slept on the banks of COPPERS CREEK no camping gear

The next day got a RBT going into town. Five minutes later exiting town another RBT told the officer i had just met one of his colleges, he just smiled and said blow into this

Just doing their job i suppose.

Well, the time has come to hit the road tomorrow morning and start our trip to the Big Red Bash.

As the pic shows I'll have a sidekick in Brian (Gold1) and plan to go via Lake Hindmarsh, Mildura, Tibooburra, Cameron Corner, Innamincka and on to Birdsville arriving there either the 30th June or 1st July.

Will be dropping in to a few country pubs on the way and look forward to a couple in the iconic Birdsville Pub catching up with Leo (CatchinJack).

    Let the travels begin!!
