Solo in the Victorian High Country

I just spent 3 days relaxing in the VHC . With the the tracks reopening and the big crowds at the popular campgrounds it was easy to find a few campsites to myself.

Here are a couple of short clips of where I went.

    Cheers

Nice one Rich. Getting a little more creative with the camera

Pineapple flat was chockers! Best to avoid large camp sites on long weekends.

I like the idea of solo camping and look forward to doing it more. You get greater freedom, go where you want, when you want, do what you want, etc. Also time by yourself is allows you to think and really unwind. However sometimes I do get very lazy though. Eat very basic meals and don't take the time to setup fully, etc. Not sure why! Any tips?

    G’day Harps,

I did do a lap around Pineapple. It ended up on the cutting room floor. It was packed.

As for a being basic in meals and set up. You have camped with me several time s know and as other will tell you I don’t sit down much...I enjoy just tinkering away setting things up ect. More than once I have been told.”will you just sit down and relax”. I guess that’s how I relax.

    Cheers

The main camp areas were like sardines.... I did pass a few bigger groups on the tracks then there were time I didn’t see anyone for a couple of hours.

Bluff Hut was funny one. People getting shifty because they had to get a photo of there car in front of the hut. Only to take one photo then drive straight off. Not just sitting back taking it in.

    Cheers

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you bloody Victorian’s are blessed to have the VHC at your ‘doorstep’.

Ohh and BTW getting away solo is certainly a relaxing way to spend a weekend away if you like your own company.

    Nice work as always Rich
    Cheers
