    Orange / White Camp Lighting

    Hi all,

I'm looking at getting this product to fix to our annex on our new camper. Supposedly the orange lights keep away the bugs and there is the option of white or orange light. I like the idea of the dimmer. I know it is $$$ but seems to be a good quality kit ready to go. Does anyone have one of these or a similar product and can offer some feedback?

    Thanks.

    Mike.

I made my own, ebay strip like above, stuck to some alloy angle 1200 long(2400 mm lenght of strip) and run a dimmer on the end-all enclosed in clear pvc tube, have made an amber one as well

My canopy is full of white LED's & yep lots of bugs in the summer, I brought another 4 yellow LED hard plastic strip lights & no bugs i just fitted the yellow ones to the gulwing doors & done a test at night, i had no bugs with the yellow lights then turned just one white led on and got swarmed by bugs and moths, i turned the white one off & the yellow back on & all the bugs buggered off lol, they still throw almost the same amount of light as the white ones.

    Hi there,

I picked up an Aldi set, has about 4 lights with extension leads, switches etc. I am using them in our shed up north to provide lighting while I finish off the shed build. They have both white and orange in the same pack.

I ended up going for the Korr Lighting kit, but the bigger one than I linked to above. The kit has both cig 12v connection and an adapter to fit alligator clips if required. It doesn't come with tape on the back but rather has a hook/loop setup to fit it to awnings. I bought some double sided tape so will probably still permanently fit it to the awning. It's 2.4m vs 2.0m in the smaller kit. I'll post some pics after this weekend which will be our first outing in the new camper.
