    1989 Around Australia Trip

    Guys, Here's another Trip from the old Days that we did back in 1989. To this day, this was the biggest trip I have ever done, and probably the most memorable one too.

    Distance Covered: 14,864kms
    Time Frame: 6 weeks
    Vehicle: 1984 Toyota Hilux Ute 2.4D
    Fuel Used: 1888.28ltrs
    Economy: 10.1ltrs/100kms (or 9.9kms/ltr)
    Vehicle Issues encountered: Small Oil leak from Oil line from Alternator to Block (replaced) - No other Issues until we got home....

    Rob that certainly looks like a very memorable trip. Days when things seemed simpler, and easier. Especially navigation.

    some great pics there Rob, even seen a few places we passed through in the late 70's I would love to do something like this again now i am older

    Yes, I would love to revisit some of these places, especially WA. There is so much to see but getting the time is my current issue.... It looking like I may have to wait until retirement before I can get back over there. Just hope and pray that its all still open to the public and not closed due to people doing the wrong thing....

    Brilliant thanks Rob! That's a huge distance in 6 weeks. I very much wish I had travelled these areas 30 years ago when I was younger and the areas were less visited. Thanks for the pics.

    Thanks Rob, some of the last photos I remember from our 9 week holiday we just finished. The areas in CSR and Fitzroy crossing, China wall, Mitchell falls and lake Argyle.
