What if this is what I want???

    LOL

Seriously though, it'll never get boosted. I am just dreaming.

Do you have any links to websites about the cracking issues you talked about or should I just google up?

LCOOL forum will get you references to cracked chassies.
Might want to Google it too. Apparently corrugations attacked at speed consistently, will do it.
I've got a 100 Ser. Wagon that is badly effected. I have to get it fixed to get a Roadworthy/pink slip.
If your buying one, check it out really well.

Running the truck with too much baggage/overloaded, can make it crack in heavy corries too.

Hi Nick, welcome back to TOYOTA!! IFS 100s are good trucks, very underrated, all known faults are well documented and that V8!! Awesome. enjoy your toy when you get it.

Okily dokily, a few weeks ago I got a rig. I would post up some pics but I cannot get into my photobucket.................... what a friggen PITA.

Anyhoo. The details of it are below.

    2002 GXL 2UZ-FE 5spd Auto
    One owner
    146,000 klms
    Its gold
Beige interior with woodgrain inserts................ yeah boy!!
    Full service history (mostly Toyota)
    ARB bullbar and brush rails
    ARB Rear Bar
    Warn Winch
2" lift in the rear, not lift in the front but has OME shocks all around
    Massive bash plates
    Rear Draws
    Cargo barrier
80L water tank and pump in one rear drawer
    Uniden UHF
    IPF Spotlights
    Dual Battery System
    Standard size (very new) KO2's
It also has an old school rear view camera with 7" monitor on the dash. This was accompanied by a navigation system which had its own monitor (that makes 2 on the dash) and used a portable CD player as its hard drive
No real hard 4wding, just touring whilst towing a van.

I have already purchased a snorkel, new front torsion bars (and braces) and a 30" lightbar. Short term purchases yet to come will be recovery points for the front and a roof rack - maybe a in car dash nav/radio/music unit (alpine) . That will be it for a while as buying a house has stolen all my $$$$$$$$$$$

It is booked in next week for its 150k service at Toyota where they will do the timing belt, water pump and all the tensioners etc and a coolant flush.

Only things wrong with it is the fan resistor will not go to max speed, probs needs an AC regas and there are some random small dents in the drivers side rear door from where the seatbelt has hit it more than once. As usual it has a few lil scratches and dents but nothing that I wont be adding too so all is good.

Great news Nick, I have to say a V8 100 or 4.8 was on my very short list before the current ride become available.
Look forward to seeing it one day!
    Cheers

2.8's Sound great, but a worked 3.0L goes better
