    Bendethera National Park - Deua

    Hi All,

A few weekends ago a few mates and I driving my new to me Smokey3 headed off for a quick run down the Deua for a bush bucks bash.
We all left Sydney and surrounds Friday after work and headed off down the Hume to Goulburn / Braidwood to meetup first night in the misty cooling hills of 'The Big Hole' campground off Cooma Rd. After arriving well before witching hour, was good to see a nice fire ticking over and ready for night one of a great weekend.
Quick setup was followed with my Southern Cross swag and ARB awning to keep the drizzle at bay.

I'll let the pics tell the rest of the story. Was a very relaxed weekend, with a gentlemans hour breaky and head off to Deua via Dampier FT.
Sun was out, temp was high 30's and we found camp and found the perfect river to claim ours for 24 hours.

We headed out Sunday after lunch via Bendethera FT via Moruya while others had some more time and went via Merricumbene FT and Araluen.

I've visited Deua NP many many times, infact it was one of my first trips I went to years ago when I was green!

Thanks for checking out the quick post.
If you have any questions please ask.

After this, it was the long boring run up the coast to home.

Same here... At least in the warmer months we can cross the mountains to get there and I believe there are tracks into the park from the west.

Yes Dave from the west, that’s the way we went this time.
And yes Greg 100% great destination for a meet up, plenty of room for all.
Just bitterly cold in winter, coldest I’ve ever been is down there.
