10 days in April, where to go?

It is looking increasingly likely that I might be able to wangle a few days off either the week before or the week after Easter next year, giving me a 10 day break. So this begs the question where to go? So I thought I would throw it out here to see what ideas people have.

So I am thinking somewhere around NSW and or Vic. It will likely be too hot still to go too far north and we hope to head West later in the year. Here are some of the things I would normally think about when planning our trips. We will be starting from Loxton which for those unfamiliar is on the Murray river in SA just over the border from Vic.

We generally like to tour around rather than stay in one spot for too long.
We generally like to stay away from crowds, which will be a challenge for the Easter period.
We prefer to bush camp rather than caravan parks.
I am a traveller first and a 4wdriver second. Which means I am out to see and experience things, whether its history or views or wildlife or serenity. I am happy to tackle rough stuff but not for the sake of it, I am not interested driving up the side of a cliff just to say I drove up a cliff, but if the view at the top is to die for then that's a different story.
We will likely have our camper trailer.
We have done a few High Country trips in and around the Dargo area previously, so would prefer to go elsewhere this time.
I am not a big fan of the coast, I prefer to be inland.

Specifics would be great rather than a general area. So give me some ideas to research

    Cheers Andrew
Why would I buy something for $10 when I can make it for $20

How about around Beechworth/Bright/King Valley area? I don't know about camping because we had my old XR6 and not the Patrol when we did that trip (quick few days away when we were in the state for other reasons).

    Thanks, that worked

Some of those climbs look like they might be a just a bit too interesting on our own towing the camper, otherwise looks like a ripper trip.

    Keep the suggestions coming please

    Are we related?

That's exactly what we look for when we got on a trip! Our saying is "I hate people", whether on a trip or not.

Good luck and let us know where you decide to head...
On days like this I'd rather be west of the Darling!

I could not go past the VHC provided it was outside school holiday time, there are plenty of places that are not extreme yet you can be all on your own for days.
    Cheers,

    Frank

If you haven't grown up by age 60, you don't have to.

Any areas in particular that you would suggest?
