    Replacement AGM Battery Recommendations

    Hi Guys,

Probably rehashing an old thread but looking for battery recommendations.

Think I have damaged my AGM battery after letting it run flat (rookie error, forgot to plug in the ark pak in the garage ).

So am now looking for a replacement 130ah to sit in my ArkPak.

Have come across this one which looks good for the price, currently on special for $294, wondering if anyone has had any dealings with "Giant" brand batteries.

    Cheers,

Can't comment on the brand, good price but here is another option. They have a sale on at the moment for fathers day so you need to use the code word, check it outhttp://stores.ebay.com.au/SunyeeTrading/_i.html?_nkw=batteries+&_cqr=true&_nkwusc=Batterys &_sid=239605116&_rdc=1

Cheers mate will give it a look.

I like that the giant ones have up to 5 warranty pro rated after the first 12 mths but happy to look at anything at this point.

Ryan, I have a feeling that Giant and Fusion are the same batteries. I had a Fusion in my Jeep and it seemed to work well.

Cheers Gary, Looking at the pics / specs they did look pretty similar.

My old one isn't totally dead but didn't seem to hold the charge as well as it used to when I was away on the weekend so would prefer to do something sooner rather then later.

Have you got a multi stage charger you can stick on it for a few days? Might bring it back to life.

Yea the ark pak has a multi stage charger built into it so will see how it all goes.

Says it's getting to full charge but when running just seems to drop a bit more then I remember, could just be paranoid though. Have left it on float charge to see how it goes.

    Hiya,

I put a 130AH Giant into my Bruiser way back in March and it's been keeping my WAECO 80DZ fridge going constantly to date.

Rarely gets down below 12V and am charging it with a 160W folding Rich Solar Panel.

Yeah and the warranty was my purchase factor as well.
