I haven't forgotten about finishing this trip report but I have been away the last two weekends and work in between! I'll get it one once I get some time.

Enjoying your write up too Rich.
Asked the same question a fair while back and was told mainly for drainage there but he wasn't not sure if that site was selected for that reason.
Was happy with that info but he went on and on about it more n more including using land over 15% slope is less profitable overall etc so I assume Coffs not doing it as good as Qld plantations on the flats...
Good old fella but think he had been trekking that slope and around bananas for far too long.
goodd read mate, looking forward to the rest of it![]()

Day 7
On day 7 we headed off to find the Keyman.
We entered the Yurangai NP and followed a series of roads until we reach this gate.
Only a short walk from the gate we found the Keyman. I was expecting him to be bigger from the photos I'd seen but I thought it was pretty cool!
We then retraced our steps and went for a drive along Pebbly Beach. The wind was up but it was a top spot to have lunch break. The pics form the beach are still on my camera...all these photos are done with my old phone which died on the trip..
We then stop at Corindi Beach to check it out.
Next stop was Woolgolga for Mango Smoothies before heading back Coffs Harbour.

Day 8
We had a big thunderstorm roll through on day 7.
Day well we just hung around not doing much at Coff, a walk up Mutton Bird Island where we met up with a Ranger who gave us an informative talk about the Mutton Bird and islands.
Our camp at the CP. without rain.
Our camp at the CP with rain.
The view off Mutton Bird Island.
Not a lot else for the day.
Day 9
All loaded up after one last walk down the Jetty at Coffs.
And the kids spent an hour on the water park.
We hit the road with our destination for the night unknown. Well we drove about 9km and stopped at Sawtell. We hired a couple of kayaks and went for a paddle down Boambee Creek (Which is more like a river) for an hour. It was awesome and we all had a great time.
We then hit the road and began heading south. When I got into Macksville I saw the sign for Taylors Arm. So I through on the indicator and made the 60km detour to the Pub With No Beer. I had wanted to tick this pub off the list for some time and was glad we went there.
