Jamie that is something I have considered but for the money I think it would be a not a priority. Although for ease of use and weight it would be a welcome addition. The bloke across the road had 45m on his GQ and it bound up on the drum, with a bit of messing around 45 minutes later we managed to sort it out, it sure was easy to work with. I have seen rope snap a few times in winch comps and lack or recoil was surprising too. I would find it hard to get my head around using rope for the first time as I have always used cable.

It's certainly come along over the years Rich, so what's next on the list?

You need to stretch it when you first load it up otherwise it does bind like steel cable. The safety factor is worth the $ even if you use it once a year. The comp guys snap it as typically they're driving while winching and it breaks on the shock load.

I have to say we finally got the rope free walking up the street and attching to another GQ to respool the rope it sure was lite.

Certainly very envious of the truck Rich. Many goodies and ideas I'd like to pinch from your vehicle mate

    Love that truck Rich.
How do you like the Fox Shocks?
I think I will be in the market for some new shocks soon.

G'day Parry, Thanks for your comments. The Fox Shocks are long gone mate. They weren't up to the task. I am currently running Ride Pro Shocks, the have only done around 100k so there just run in! seriously though I have found them to be perfect for my set up.

    Cheers

I'm currently down at BD's (john's) work having a couple new tyres fitted before another weekend away in the Victorian High Country on a 4wd adventurers forum trip!
