    Easter on the Bogan

This years Easter weekend was a little closer to home, around 160K's to the small Western town of Nyngan - Home of the "Bogan".

The Bogan statue is located in the Main Street of town which is well serviced by all the essential shops and of course, cafes, my personal favorite. The town Museum is also located in the Main Street in what was the Train Station and is well worth a visit.

Our camp for the weekend was the Nyngan Riverside Tourist Park, situated on the banks of the Bogan River.

In the warmer months the river is used for all your water activities - swimming, fishing, kayaking and of course water skiing.

In the winter months things slow a little and it becomes a very peaceful park to relax or as a stopover when returning from further out West.

The end result was a relaxing weekend spent by the river with friends, the odd beer or two and a few slow cooked camp oven dinners.

    Happy Easter All.

Hahaha, I'm not much of a fisherman...it's the co-op for me Stew.

They do have a Carp Muster here every year which was held only a few weeks ago.

    Cheers

It's was a quiet weekend Payney, other then the sound of purring V8 ski boats.

I'd be pretty happy if the cruiser sounded like a few of those boats

    Cheers
