Wild Deer Hunting Guiding & Fishing Expo 2016

I went to the Wild Deer expo today for a look around and to see what was on offer I had been so busy the past few weeks chasing my own tail I did not notice it was on until I saw an email from Kulkyne campers saying they would have a site at the expo.

There was plenty in the way of hunting equipment and apparel and all the big name gun manufacturers had stalls but not a great deal in the way of fishing and boating with only two duck punts on display by Yamaha and the local tackle world with stuff that obivously does not sell compared to the tackle range they have in store very lack lustre.

The Oz-pig mob where there doing displays and an expo special wow it was more than mine shipped to my door from Echuca and boy do they ask for big coin for any accessories I definitely need to get a welder and start playing around myself.

The mob that make my kayak Safari H2o were there and I had a good chat with the rep Trevor as they now sell an electric version of my kayak with pedal steering and the same water snake motor as I use though the mount was on the rear of the kayak and looked very well thought out with a tilt system and best part he was willing to sell the parts I need to convert mine separately.

All in all it looked to be a great turn out and boy those patriot campers are flash they had one the same as All for adventure Simon tows with the off-road buggy on the back but starting price 62000 wow.

Numbers seemed to be down according to many of the stall holders so I think the high temperatures are deterring people but it was a good way to spend a couple of hours flapping about chatting with stall holders and checking out new products.

Worst part of the day was I forgot my phone so sorry no photos stupid me I really needed it to get photos of the kayak engine mounting system so I could show a mate and yup you guessed it not one image on the kayak manufacturers web site they are keeping that one under raps now I just have to see how low I can get the price for the parts I'd require from the rep at $800 for the full kit ouch.

Might be the current economic climate pacs, I think Rich said the Wandin 4wd show numbers were down a lot as well, sounds like the show was worth the look though.
    Cheers Dave

Yeah mate it was worth a look some interesting stuff there and plenty of tour mobs for guided hunts oversea's just spewing I forgot my phone the one thing I needed a photo of was the kayak setup but would have been good to get a few photos of the expo and the stuff that stood out

I checked out the new Kulkyne poll less swag and I was surprised how well it stood up one inflated but it did seem to eat into the swag space with only a small opening above the head I like lots of air flow in my swags so it would not suit me

I gave it a miss this time around, I am chasing some slightly obscure brass for loading but didn't like my chances of finding it.

I've missed it other years payney and it was just luck that I saw it was on last night so with the rest of the family out of town and plenty of time to myself it was a good way to spend a couple of hours

    Nice Pacs...

The Electric Murray sounds interesting.. Just did a bit of a google. The H20 website doesn't have alot of details or photos...

    This site has a photo.

Pretty cool. 2500$ vs 1100 for the motor less. Still much cheaper than Native or Hobie...

It's mounted directly at the back and they state it has a very small turning circle....

I think i will keep saving for a Native...

Thanks for that Harps I was looking for a photo before and could not find one yes the native is a nice craft I just don't like that you have to lift the drive out to get over snags yeah you can peddle back once you hit the snag but then you have to paddle over it and drop the drive back down though the seat does look the goods I hope they bring out a seat mod for my kayak soon
