So today I lost a half a day with rain and appointments in Newcastle so it was after lunch before I could play with the 200, put some pinch weld around the top to protect the jerrys and people. Also got the numberplate light wired up and running, then started to organise the HF antenna. (Needed to play with the bracket to make it straight). The antenna is still off at present but will finish that job in due course. Wont get to work on it tomorrow as Kaz needs it for work and I'm off to Gosford.

    Pinchweld around the edges,

    Numberplate light working

    Test fitting the HF antenna

Threw the wheel bag on to see how it looks

    2 nice rear ends (lol)

    As always more to follow

Just got back this arvo from 2 days at AgQuip. Great time again, spent a bit of money for gear for shed and yard.
If you ever get the chance I recommend AgQuip as a must do show but best done over 2 days.

I agree, we walked the lot in one arvo but could have spent a lot more time. 10ks to walk around it all lol

I've been told it is closer to 20km of roadways to walk, I know it is 26 hectares of actual exhibitor area, a long way to carry your purchases unless you use parcel pickup which I did for a welder. It's a big walk but the beer tastes nice at the end of each day after the walk.

I actually set the map my walk app on my phone and found it was 10k but we didn't do any doubling back at all so it would be really easy to walk a lot further.

Well over the last few days when Ive had time I got some more done to the big girl. Started out with a new set of rear springs to take all the added weight of the rear bar, tank, jerrys, and camper so as the GVM upgrade was done by Lovells I went with their heaviest springs, officially called Armoured vehicle! I was also advised to not unload this too much with these springs in or it would ride like a pig.

Only I would take pix of a spring in place (probably the last time they will be clean lol)

After that I decided it was time to start fitting the HF radio in, with a trip to QLD next week I wanted to get it done, but I also wanted to keep it neat coz I definitely don't want to do the big rewire like I did in the old GU, so with some thought and a long time I came up with the following, I think it should work well and I reckon it looks the gear too.

    Where the rig will go!

    Mounting bracket in

    Body in

    Head mounted

    Wiring done and in place

Antenna leads went through the tail light hole, no pix but you can see where it will go

    Leads running from the antenna

    How it looks mounted

    The rigs powered up

Thats it for now, hope you 're all enjoying my build so far

In the last few days more stuff has been done to the big girl to get her ready for next years trip to the Flinders and Ayres Rock. So it now has a Polaris multimedia with Hema maps and a nice new Rhino Rack. I think its come up well.

Don't give me a hard time about the choice of music, my phone plays random stuff LOL

Unusual to see a Rhino Rack with the sides on, but looks good.

I wanted sides so it won’t look stupid once the awning goes on
