    It isn't easy being Green

It starting to remind me of a stealth bomber, going to be impossible to find it in the dark.

    Cheers Andrew
Why would I buy something for $10 when I can make it for $20

Didn't realize Rhino had redesigned their shovel holders. Looks a bit more slimline than the old.

The ones you have don't look so susceptible to snagging tree branches and vines like the old style.

Looks great Steve. Love the stealth shovel.

I was only looking at those Rhino aerial brackets recently. Popped into Autobarn to grab one, but they didn't have any in stock. Will need to hunt around. I've moved my aerial onto the rollbar of the ute, and it would be handy to be able to fold it down around town. I almost took out every single fluro in a particular underground car park the other day with it. Whoops. Keen to hear your thoughts on how it goes after you've had the chance to run it for a couple of months.

    Cheers,
    Matt

Thanks Matt! I reckon it should go well, seems very solid. I need to take another pic of the "stealth shovel" as I've turned the head the other way, makes it even stealthier lol

Today I had the day off so I continued my antenna install on the roof ready for expeditions later this year, so the antenna on the drivers side is a dual band vhf/uhf amateur and the one on the passenger side is a 4db UHF cb antenna for convoy work leaving the other radio to scan so we don't meet people in a bad spot on a dune or so on. I have been known to use a few zip ties in my day but I think it makes it neater.

2 metal antennas to look similar on occasions

    Hold those cables lol

And the wiring at the radio end (2nd UHF to come)
