    Fun in the snow

With the jeep finally re regoed after almost 10 months I thought it was time to give it a run. So Saturday arvo saw me out changing the the tyres over from the street tyres to play tyres in preparation for Sunday.
    From this

    To this

Sunday morning saw slowly getting the cold/snow gear sorted and packed into a much smaller than usual car. And soon we were on our way to mt field np. A couple of quick stops for some new wet weather shoes for the young bloke and about an hour later we stopping for a quick cook up at the base of mt field.

After this and a quick stop at the parks office to get a new parks sticker we headed up. Only to be stopped halfway up by a tourist stuck across the track in their 2wd hire van. After about an hour we made it past and were told there were some more 2wds stuck blocking the rd further up. So knowing this we decided to stop where we could for the kids to have a play.

So even with the fact we didn't make it all the way to the lake it was a great day out.
Then this morning woke to this at home almost sea level

And up at Great Lakes Hotel they have about 2 foot of snow

Fantastic photos Justin! We have the same problems near home with 2wd vehicles. There has been a bit of carnage this winter!

    Cheers

We had snow in the higher parts of Launceston this morning! Crazy stuff. Looks like a great trip mate, hopefully the white stuff sticks around till the weekend so I can get up there for a look.
