    Stihl Mini Boss MS 170

After endless drama with my old chainsaw it was time to find a replacement. So on Friday it was off to the shop to grab one on the way to work. After giving it a bit of a run today I have to say it's comfortable to use.

I couldn't go passed the Stihl Mini Boss with carry case for $299.

    Cheers

2.8's Sound great, but a worked 3.0L goes better

It was dusty for a bit but I gave it a quick wipe over before putting it back into the box!

If it lasts as long as my Stihl 009 then you'll be laughing.

We have the same chainsaw, served us well up in the Vic High Country for firewood duties. The case is massive, you could fit a much bigger saw in there.

WOW Rich, that's a great price, I was just looking at them online, Stihl at Narellen(near us) have them for $299 with a free Esky.

I also noticed, as soon as you go to the next model up, the price jumps to over $600, so $299 is brilliant, I reckon that should be perfect for firewood when camping, maybe get a canvas bag for the back of the GU to save space.

So did you opt for the 16" bar, or kept the standard 14"??
