We're a tad booked out for this year but maybe April / May next year we could organise a week long trip if you would be interested. I have one planned that starts at Jindabyne and includes McKillops Bridge, Dedick Trail, Nuniong high Plains, Omeo, Dargo, Talbotville, Billy Goats Bluff and the Pinacles, Wonnongatta and finishing at Myrtleford.

We're currently debating 2" v 4" lift. There's so many pros and cons. Scott tells me Thunderbird is due for new springs and front shocks so if we're going to drop down to 2" that would be the time to do it. I love the 4" lift but realistically do we really need it? What is the biggest tyre we could run with if we go down to 2"?

Something many people don't consider is your vehicle weights. We were due for new springs in our Patrol and for only a little extra than replacing our 2" lift we had a GVM upgrade done which added more capacity to our weights and included strengthening the coil towers and laminating the diff. If you are close to your weight limits or exceeding them it is a worthwhile investment. The lift that the GVM upgrade gave us was probably about 3" all round.
