Thoroughly enjoyed that video. Nothing better than a trip with a few surprises which causes the recovery gear to come out. 5 hours would start to get a bit tedious though.

Hell of a cleaning job for old mate with the Patrol.

Kam what do you call that shade top fitted to your Jeep?

Good one Kam. Looks like plenty of fun up your way.

Few blokes on here need to take note of the superior vehicle in your video :jeep:

Thats Spiderwebshade. I ordered it in US. Pretty good, you can keep it on with soft top or hard top on.

Thanks for feedback guys!

Interesting recovery.

That's what I was thinking

Kam could have you got a vehicle around the front and snatched it out forwards once he first got stuck?

Thats what I suggested first. Even its pretty hard to get up there through other ways, I think I could make it. But my friend with Patrol didn't want to, cause he was suddenly afraid whats coming after that. The tracks looked even harder, so he was worried how he would get back.

The slide to the left during winching made the whole recovery much more difficult. It could be so easy. We had problems with the winch as well. Plus his engine "died" during snatch strapping.

We towed him home. Mudflap, little bit of rear bumper and rear light was damaged. And a 200 dollar mechanic bill (As far I know something with timing belt), around 40 bucks + 4 hours car wash and one day off from work ^^
